Eligibility: Toys for Texans is fully in-person and hires from all Texas cities. At this time, we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in the United States. Applicants must be age 14 - 22. 

JOB HIGHLIGHT

As the Transport Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the fundraising and donation efforts of the organization. Your responsibilities involve efficiently managing transportation logistics, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs, and fostering relationships with businesses for potential sponsorships.

JOB SUMMARY

The Transport Officer is an essential part of the team, responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of donations, including picking up donation boxes from drives and various locations. Additionally, you will be actively engaging with businesses to explore sponsorship opportunities and build partnerships that contribute to the organization's revenue generation.

YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR . . . 

• Coordinating and scheduling transportation for donation pickups and drop-offs from designated locations.

• Ensuring the safe and timely transportation of donated items, including handling fragile or sensitive materials with care.

• Visiting businesses and organizations to explore sponsorship and partnership opportunities.

• Maintaining a well-organized system for tracking transportation schedules, pickups, and deliveries.

• Collaborating with the fundraising and sponsorship teams to align transportation efforts with their initiatives.

YOU MUST HAVE . . . 

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills to efficiently coordinate transportation schedules.

• Good communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with businesses and potential sponsors.

• The ability to lift and carry heavy items, as some donations may require physical effort.

• A responsible and reliable approach to fulfilling transportation duties.

IT’S AN ADDED PLUS IF YOU HAVE:

• Experience in logistics or transportation management.

• Familiarity with the local area and routes for efficient transportation.

• Strong problem-solving skills to address any transportation challenges effectively.
