Officer (Remote)

NORTH TEXAS  /  TIMELY  /  PROFESSIONAL  /  IN-PERSON AVAILABILITY

Main areas of focus: Pursuing partnerships and sponsorships, coordinating donation drives, researching potential partners.

Location: Remote - Texas only.

Eligibility: Toys for Texans is fully remote and hires from all Texas cities. At this time, we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in the United States. Applicants must be age 14 - 22. 

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

As a rotational officer within our organization, you will play a crucial role in our mission to support communities through various initiatives. Your responsibilities will rotate monthly among three key areas:

  1. Collaborating with large corporations to efficiently allocate items from their inventory to those in need.

  2. Engaging with local businesses to organize and execute toy drives, fostering community involvement and generosity.

  3. Managing money grants and orchestrating fundraisers to secure vital financial resources for our organization's initiatives.

Through these rotations, you will gain valuable experience in diverse aspects of community outreach, corporate partnership management, event planning, and fundraising. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others. Join us in making a difference and empowering communities to thrive.

YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR . . . 

 
  • Identifying and contacting potential partner organizations and businesses to explore collaboration opportunities.

  • Crafting and sending professional emails and communications to pitch partnership ideas and secure sponsorships.

  • Setting up and coordinating donation drives, including arranging pick-up and drop-off logistics.

  • Researching and collecting information about potential partners, such as contact details, location, and availability.

  • Going beyond assigned tasks to actively seek and secure new partnerships that align with the organization's goals.

YOU MUST HAVE . . . 

 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively pitch partnership proposals.

  • The ability to build rapport with potential partners and convey the organization's mission compellingly.

  • An organized and detail-oriented approach to managing donation drives and partnership outreach.

  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to explore innovative revenue-generating opportunities.

  • Availability for in-person meetings when required to discuss partnerships and sponsorships.

IT’S AN ADDED PLUS IF YOU HAVE:

 
  • Experience in drafting professional emails and proposals for partnership opportunities.

  • A background in sales, business development, or fundraising, with a track record of successful revenue generation.

  • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and techniques.

  • You possess excellent drafting skills, able to craft professional and persuasive emails and proposals.

  • Your in-person availability enables you to attend meetings and events, strengthening partnerships.

  • Your elevator pitch is compelling and effectively conveys the organization's mission and value to potential partners.

  • Your creative thinking allows you to explore unique approaches to secure partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.

  • You are proactive and go beyond assigned tasks, actively seeking and securing new revenue-generating partnerships.
