Location: Remote - Texas only.

Eligibility: Toys for Texans is fully in-person and hires from all Texas cities. At this time, we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in the United States. Applicants must be age 14 - 22. 

 

JOB HIGHLIGHT

 

As the Newsletter Editor, you will be responsible for curating and creating content for the organization's newsletters. Your role plays a crucial part in maintaining regular communication with the audience and fostering a sense of community and engagement.

JOB SUMMARY

 

The Newsletter Editor is a key member of the marketing department, entrusted with the task of producing compelling newsletters that resonate with the organization's audience. By delivering relevant and captivating content, you contribute to the organization's brand awareness and overall marketing efforts.

YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR . . . 

 
  • Planning the content strategy for newsletters, including topics, themes, and timelines.

  • Gathering news, updates, and stories from various departments and stakeholders.

  • Writing and editing newsletter articles and ensuring they align with the organization's tone and messaging.

  • Designing and formatting newsletters to create visually appealing and reader-friendly layouts.

  • Managing distribution lists and coordinating newsletter delivery through email or other platforms.

YOU MUST HAVE . . . 

 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills to produce clear, engaging, and error-free content.

  • Proficiency in using newsletter creation tools and graphic design software.

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in content and formatting.

  • A keen understanding of the organization's audience and the ability to tailor content accordingly.

  • Time management skills to meet deadlines and publish newsletters regularly.

IT’S AN ADDED PLUS IF YOU HAVE:

 
  • Experience in email marketing and familiarity with email automation tools.

  • Knowledge of newsletter best practices and strategies to improve open and click-through rates.

  • Basic HTML and CSS knowledge for customizing newsletter templates.
